About

Biography

I am a researcher, designer, and filmmaker working across experimental psychology, multisensory perception, and human–computer interaction. I recently submitted my DPhil thesis in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford (Somerville College), supervised by Professor Charles Spence. My research investigates how touch and other sensory feedback become meaningfully integrated into narratives, and how this shapes immersion, emotion, and audience experience across film, XR, gaming, interactive installations, and wearable systems.

My approach combines experimental design, psychophysical methods, and statistical modelling with hands-on creative technology: I design, build, and empirically evaluate multisensory experiences, from a full-body pneumatic haptic suit for cinema to a kinetic, scent-based floral clock. This work has led to 10 peer-reviewed publications in haptics, multisensory perception, and immersive entertainment, and to an international research visit at the Embodied Media Lab, Keio University.

Alongside research, I am a filmmaker and media practitioner. I have directed and/or shot more than 20 short films, music videos, and concert productions, contributed interactive design to the CCTV New Year's Gala, and exhibited interactive and media-art work at Ars Electronica, The Bartlett, and NYU ITP.
